Paid uses our own secure, accredited Open Banking. We connect directly with your bank using the same secure system that powers hundreds of thousands of payments through volley.nz.
No, Paid uses read-only access to your bank account. When you sign up, we will separately set up a subscription payment from your bank with a set charge per month. Beyond that nothing can leave your account.
Yes. Paid can send notifications for both credit and debit transactions. You can configure this in settings.
Paid watches for transactions in your account, in line with interbank settlement windows in New Zealand. If you’re after real-time payment notifications, come and chat to us at support@volley.nz about using Payment Requests.
No, we don't hold on to your transactions in our app once we’ve sent them to you. We do hold a secure log of bank requests for 30 days for troubleshooting, then it's deleted. We may also use anonymised merchant names, like "PAK’nSAVE Masterton", to improve our services, but not anything that identifies you.
Paid works with most personal or business accounts from ANZ, ASB, Kiwibank and Westpac. If you’re connecting to a business account it will need to be linked to your banking app, e.g. goMoney for ANZ or ASB Mobile for ASB. Only personal accounts are currently available for BNZ customers.
Yes, we don’t lock you into a contract. You can cancel Paid from the settings page or your bank app at any time. Once your subscription ends, we’ll stop fetching any data.
Paid is built by Volley using our own secure and accredited Open Banking integration with New Zealand banks. Hundreds of thousands of Kiwis have used Volley to make payments straight from their bank app, so you’re in good company.
